New York, NY (PRWEB) March 3, 2008 -- The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), empowers, inspires and promotes the interest of female entrepreneurs at all levels, and on March 18, 2008, the New York City Chapter will honor four extraordinary women entrepreneurs at its annual Signature Awards Dinner. The Signature Awards, established in 1992, is a premiere event to honor remarkable women business pioneers who have left their unique mark -- their "signature" -- on the business community. The award ceremony will take place at Cipriani, located at 200 Fifth Avenue in New York from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Award recipients represent the successes of business owners at varying levels of accomplishment, from start-ups to seasoned veterans. Tasha Norma, President, says "Each year, our Signature Awards committee takes the time to thoroughly research the nominees and become clear on why we select these women from among the list of all the amazing women in New York. Each year, this decision becomes more difficult and is a testament to the caliber of women who are business owners." The four Award categories are The Lifetime Achievement Award, Master Award, Promise Award, and Social Entrepreneur Award. This year's Award recipients are:
- Lifetime Achievement Award -- Ann Sachs, President & CEO of Sachs Morgan Studio, Theatre Design Specialists
- Master Award -- Suri Kasirer, President of Kasirer Consulting
- Promise Award -- Nandini Mukherjee, Founder & President of the Indian Bread Company
- Social Entrepreneur Award -- Hilda H. Polanco, Managing Director & Founder of Fiscal Management Associates.
The evening will be hosted by inspirational speaker and celebrity Bonnie St. John.
"As a member of the arts community it is particularly meaningful to me to be chosen for this award because it acknowledges 'the business of show business.' I am honored to be in the company of such impressive past recipients," says Ann Sachs, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Elaine Brodsky, owner of Citistorage, LLC was the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and is an Honorary Chair for the 2008 Signature Awards. Also serving as an Honorary Chair is Marcella Shinder, Vice President of Brand Marketing Strategy at OPEN from American Express.
