Jacksonville Area Contemporary Artist, Jennifer Rapp Short, to Show in New York City Exhibit in December
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 27, 2007 -- Artwork by Ponte Vedra Beach contemporary artist, Jennifer Rapp Short, was recently selected for an upcoming exhibit entitled, "Hope, Smaller Fragments of a Larger Idea," at the Rhonda Schaller Gallery in New York City. The exhibit will run from December 6th through the 20th at the Chelsea gallery. This is her first showing in New York City.
Her piece, "Deep Blue," mixed media on canvas, will be featured along with other American and international artist's work in a large lattice grid composed of several 10x10 size spaces where the artwork will be placed.
"I am thrilled to be chosen for this cutting edge exhibit and hope that it will open doors for participation in other regional and national exhibits in the future," said Rapp Short.
Rapp Short's bold, contemporary artwork was selected by a jury for the inaugural "Beaches Artwalk," that took place in August in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Both her large and small pieces have been featured in the Downtown Jacksonville Artwalk in 2006 and more recently at the "North Beaches Artwalk" in Neptune Beach, Florida earlier this month.
"It is my hope that my upcoming national exposure will bring more attention to the Jacksonville contemporary art scene. I am encouraged by the recent opening of the Beaver Contemporary Art Center in San Marco," Rapp Short said.
You can view Rapp Short's work in the upcoming regional exhibit entitled, "Flood," at the Beaver Contemporary Arts Center which will run from November 9th through the 29th. Beaver Contemporary Arts Center is located on San Marco Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition, you may visit her website at: www.jennifershortdesign.com
