New York Fashion Week Envelops Karlo With Three Directional Beauty Platforms For The Spring 2008 Collections New York City, New York; September 5 - 12

New York City, NY (PRWEB) September 4, 2007 -- New York City artist Karlo will be designing the makeup concept for designers Carlos Campos*, Sergio Davila and Keith Michael* for their Spring 2008 collections on September 4, 9 and 12 respectively in New York City.

Karlo, who recently worked with the cast of Hairspray for it's premiere in New York City, groomed James Marsden for the cover of Collezioni Uomo, and just finished working on Ana Sui's fall advertising campaign for her new shoe line, is far from being a newcomer to the world of fashion shows. During his 14 years as a Makeup Artist and Creative Director, Karlo has had the privilege to work with "beau monde" designers like Ana Molinari, Romeo Gigli, Victor Victoria, Piazza Sempione, Enrico Coveri, Vena Cava, Blue Marine, and Hugo Boss, thus giving beauty direction.

"It's so refreshing to be able to be backstage again amidst all the mayhem... fashion shows are my favorite..." says Karlo, who took a forced break from collection shows after September 11th 2001.

For Carlos Campos, Karlo has designed a fresh sun-kissed face reminiscent of the aristocracy that sailed off the coast of Acapulco, Palm Beach, St. Tropez and Portofino in the 80's, where they inevitably glamorized their faces for nightlife celebration. Decked out men, super-chic women. Jaime Rishar and Omahyra will embody all the glamour.

Karlo has chosen "a new country club man" theme for Sergio Davila's "Soho club meets Havana club" inspiration for his Spring 2008 men's collection. "...it's a 2008 approach to it, we DO NOT bake under the sun anymore. Today's man is aware of the cumulative negative effects of the sun on our skin... but he still likes to play, under the sun."

Keith Michael's show is about timeless beauty. Barbie doll lips, beautiful eyes a-la Twiggy and flawless porcelain skin. "Keith collection portrays to me the ultimate sheltered girl, sweet, beautiful, romantic, educated... she's the Grace Kelly all women want to be," Karlo comments.
