PR Blogger and Podcaster Paull Young Joins Converseon as Senior Account Executive in New York City
NEW YORK (PRWeb) March 26, 2007 -- One of the most-recognized social media communications agencies, Converseon, today named Paull Young as a senior account executive in its New York headquarters. Young, author of the Young PR blog and a respected PR blogger and podcaster, will execute social media strategies for Converseon's clients, reporting to Converseon's director of social media, Constantin Basturea.
"Paull embodies what Converseon is all about," said Converseon CEO Rob Key. "He offers passion, innovation, commitment and a desire to push the edges of digital communications where possible. We're delighted to have such a talent as part of our team."
Young joins Converseon following a three-month world tour of the PR blogosphere during which he met face-to-face with bloggers in eight countries on three continents. In mid-2005, Young co-founded the anti-astroturfing campaign, which set into motion a wide-ranging debate on social media and PR ethics.
His blog, Young PR, was Australia's first student PR blog. He also is integrally involved with Forward, a collaborative website for and by young PR professionals, as Director of Forward Podcast. Young holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications - Public Relations) from Charles Sturt University and previously worked as Special Projects Manager at Australian sports PR firm BAM Media.
"I've travelled around the world meeting PR bloggers and everyone is working hard to discover the best approach to this dynamic new media environment," said Young. "I'm looking forward to joining Rob, Constantin and the team at Converseon where I expect to further learn their strategic, ethical and innovative approach to the online conversation. I'm confident that we are only seeing the start of a communications revolution and I look forward to helping to guide Converseon clients through the changes to come."
